HELP & GUIDANCE
Learn how SuiteStockIQ approaches historical inventory aging in NetSuite, what the implementation includes, and whether it is suitable for your business.
NetSuite SuiteAnswers article #75940 describes a Saved Search approach for creating an inventory aging-style report. However, a transaction-based search that groups inventory movements by date is not necessarily a true inventory aging report.
The distinction matters: showing inventory transactions during a period is not the same as determining how old the inventory still on hand was at a particular historical date.
A genuine historical inventory aging report needs to account for inventory received and subsequently consumed or shipped, determine the quantities remaining as of the reporting date, and allocate those quantities to the appropriate aging buckets.
SuiteStockIQ is designed to address this challenge by combining NetSuite data with an Excel-based calculation model to produce historical inventory aging reports, with supporting detail at the level agreed for each engagement. Results depend on the customer’s data, configuration and agreed scope.
